Resolved Known Issues

This release of Apex One (Mac) resolves the following product issues:

Issue 1: When updating the certificate file on the Apex One (Mac) server, the TMCNTMgmt process might cause a memory leak issue.
Solution 1: This patch updates the TMCNTMgmt module to resolve this issue.

Issue 2: If downloaded through a web browser, the uninstaller may not be able to gain user authority on endpoints running macOS 10.15 or older versions.
Solution 2: This patch updates the uninstaller to resolve this issue.

Issue 3: If only "iCoreService" is added to the program list on endpoints running macOS 11.4, Full Disk Access cannot be verified successfully.
Solution 3: This patch adds "iCore Service.app" into the Full Disk Access program list to resolve this issue.

Issue 4: When the "lookup_server" parameter value is null, the "Unable to start Apex One (Mac) Security Agent" error message appears.
Solution 4: This patch resolves the issue by setting a default value for the "lookup_server" parameter.

Issue 5: The Apex One (Mac) Security Agent Network Filter may experience interoperability issues, which affect the performance of a protected endpoint.
Solution 5: This patch adds some macOS system processes to the Network Filter approved list to prevent interoperability issues.

7. Known Issues

7.1 Limitation When Configuring Scan Time Machine for Manual and Scheduled Scan

Problem: After enabling the Scan Time Machine option for Manual Scan and Scheduled Scan, Apex One (Mac) cannot perform any actions (clean, quarantine, or delete) on detected malware threats due to a permission limitation in Mac OS. Configured scan actions display as unsuccessful in the product logs.

7.2 Endpoint Sensor Processing Limitation

Problem: Endpoint Sensor processing of files on Mac endpoints is case insensitive. Historical investigation results on the Apex Central console include all entries for a file name with different capitalization.

7.3 File Name Changes in Historical Investigation

Problem: When performing a historical investigation on Apex One (Mac) endpoints, the system replaces a slash (/) with a colon (:) in file names, preventing users from searching for file names that contain slashes in investigation results.

Workaround: To resolve this issue, use a colon (:) to search for files.
